October: A Month of Liberation, Freedom, and Visible Blessings

The Bible, in its completeness, always provides us with a reference point for every season of life. No matter the circumstance, there is always a word, a story, or a symbol in Scripture that speaks to one’s journey and gives hope.

Now we step into the tenth month of the year, October.

Like every new month, it carries with it our prayers, expectations, and declarations for breakthrough.

But this month feels different.

There is a renewed sense of optimism in the air, and I believe that for many of us, October will be THAT MONTH.

In the book of Genesis 8:5, the Bible records:

“The waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.”

This was after 150 days of the flood covering the earth, when Noah’s ark remained afloat.

For months, there was no clarity, only endless waters. But then came the first day of the tenth month, and suddenly, hope appeared in sight: the mountain tops.

What a profound reminder! Regardless of the storms we face in life, there comes a moment when the flood begins to recede, and the first signs of relief appear. This tenth month represents such a season. October is symbolic of visibility, relief, and fresh beginnings.

It is a month to lift our eyes in faith and finally see the mountains, the evidence of God’s promises breaking through.

Today, I write with a heart full of joy and gratitude, convinced that this month ushers in blessings, wellness, and restoration.

And how remarkable that this very day is also Nigeria’s Independence Day, which marks our 65 years of freedom from colonial rule. The alignment could not be more striking: a new month that signifies liberation, visibility, and freedom.

So, as we step into October, let us do so with courage, faith, and expectancy.

The storm is receding.

The mountains are becoming visible. Our season of liberation and blessing has come.

Happy New Month of October.

Happy Independence Day, Nigeria.

Here’s to freedom, hope, and visible blessings.
